1. steal the show抢风头

　　也可用steal the thunder 代替，不过steal the thunder 除了抢风头外，还有窃取他人创意或点子的意思。

　　2. go nuts要疯了

　　工作让人抓狂、消息让人疯掉等情景都可以使用，除了go nuts也可以用go crazy。

　　3. suck it up 忍着点

　　工作不顺利、期末考难熬？suck it up 就是在鼓励人忍着点并撑过难关。

　　“打脸”一词其实很早就有了，今年特别流行，意思是找出别人的错事儿而使之丢脸出糗。

　　for dummies 平常不会单独使用，通常前面都会接一个主题，像是English for dummies、Pregnancy for dummies 等等。这个词源自于Hungry Minds 公司出版的自学或教学参考书籍，而第一本for dummies 是在1991年11月出版的DOS for dummies。此系列的特色就是深入浅出，善于用图表介绍该领域知识，与懒人包的特性相符。

　　7. you're so full of yourself你少臭美了

　　身边的人如果太自满、自我感觉过于良好时，就可以用用这句话。除了you’re so full of yourself 也可以用don’t be a smug.

　　B: You’re so full of yourself. / Don’t be a smug.

　　8. caring/considerate guy暖男

　　暖男的特色通常是体贴、顾家、会做饭、懂得照顾女朋友或老婆，总之是带给人温暖的男性。所以英文就可以用caring或considerate 来形容这位男性。

　　9. get up on the wrong side of the bed起床气

　　这是用来形容一个人的行为突然令人无法接受或脾气突然变得很差，和中文的「起床气」有异曲同工之妙。

　　A: 她怎么了？今天看起来凶神恶煞。

　　B: Maybe she got up on the wrong side of the bed today.

　　B: 或许是她起床气还没消吧。

　　10. fat nerd肥宅

　　“肥宅”在2014年突然开始大量流行，意思就是很肥的宅男。

　　I think calling people fat nerds is a type of bullying.

　　我认为叫别人肥宅是一种霸凌。

　　11. negative energy负能量

　　负能量爆棚，正能量满满，这些都是常挂在嘴边的话。负能量英文可以用negative energy，相反的就是正能量(positive energy)。

　　12. keep a low profile低调

　　如果是形容一个人很低调，我们就可以用keep a low profile。但如果是要讲某个事件是低调的，会用low-key 来形容。

　　蔡依林喜欢保持低调，所以她很少上电视。

　　13. funny crap废到笑

　　何谓废到笑？就是看到真的很废的东西，但就是会莫名戳中笑点！crap 本身有屎、垃圾的意思，也就是废物。只要在YouTube 上面搜寻funny crap，你一定会对这个词有深刻的体悟。

　　14. stunned傻眼、惊呆了

　　最近时不时就会听到“我和我的小伙伴都惊呆了”。惊呆了虽然和傻眼有相似的意思，但表达上更为强烈，除了stunned 外，还可以用dumbfounded或flabbergasted。

　　Everyone was stunned when Johnny announced he had a 9-year-old daughter.

　　当强尼宣布他有一个九岁女儿时，大家都惊呆了。

　　15. that's ridiculous太瞎了

　　昨天那部电影真的是太瞎了！他这个人怎么这么瞎！发出这样的感慨时，都可以这样。
